The Nile Perch fish is harvested for food. The skin is a by-product. The fish were swimming in Lake Victoria in Africa, pre-tanned and then shipped to northern Iceland to finish the tanning process at Nordic Fish Leather. The fishskins were converted to fish leather using clean geothermal energy. Note: This type of leather is no longer being produced by the Icelandic tannery.

Irregularities may occur with the fish scales, this is totally normal, as no two fish are exactly alike!

Can be worn on either side of the head or smack dab in the middle of your head. The diameter of the hat is 6 3/4” and 1 3/4” dep.

Inside is vintage silk upcycled from a Japanese kimono. The grosgrain ribbon protects the hat from your makeup or hair product.

Free size. A thin black elastic holds the hat to your head at the nape of the neck and is hidden by your hair. It can be adjusted to be shorter, to fit your head.
